Will IAC's acquisition of Ask affect Ask.com's privacy practices?

Respecting users' privacy is a key value for Ask.com. As of July 19, 2005, Ask became a wholly-owned business of IAC/InterActiveCorp. ("IAC") and, thus, IAC now controls Ask.com's privacy practices. The Ask privacy policy will continue to remain in place, and IAC will treat users' personal information with the same respect and constraints that apply under the current policy

IAC's brands include some of the best companies on the Internet, and we are excited by the additional resources that IAC will be able to provide to Ask users. If in the future IAC should revise Ask.com's privacy practices, those changes will be announced in the manner required by the privacy policy.
